Approaching winter storm causes Sunday cancellations

JACKSON, MS- The winter storm warning, which has been issued by The National Weather Service in Jackson, has caused some area churches to cancel or move Sunday services.

The churches listed below have canceled or moved Sunday, January 9, 2011 services:

First Baptist Church of Brandon - no evening services

Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon canceled services

Harrisville Baptist Church canceled evening services,

Kalem Methodist Church concert in Morton canceled,

St. Richards Catholic Church Mass and youth activities canceled,

Calvary Baptist Church (West Capital St.) have canceled services,

Christ Life Church of The Highlands, will only have a 9 a.m. service,

Deliverance Tabernacle of Hazlehurst will have services at 8:30 a.m. only,

Services for South Side Baptist on Raymond Road is canceled this morning,

Oakridge Baptist Church in Vicksburg has canceled for today,

First Christian Church in Vicksburg has canceled services for today,

Service for Woodland Hills Baptist Church is Canceled,

Service for First Presbyterian Church in Vicksburg,

New Life Fellowship Baptist Church at 1234 Forest Avenue in Jackson has canceled services for today.

Making Jesus Real Church in Pearl has canceled the 10am service for today,
