Jackson officer involved in car accident

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A Jackson police officer was involved in an accident Wednesday night.

Officials say that a 2000 white Chevrolet Suburban driven by Deion Brown, 32, clipped the front of the officers car.

The accident happened near Martin Luther King and Piney Woods Drive.

When the unidentified officer approached Brown's vehicle an open container was visible.

The officer was not injured.

Brown was taken into custody Wednesday night and faces a variety of charges.
