Alcorn student killed in car accident

LORMAN, MS (WLBT) - An Alcorn state student was killed in a car accident early Friday morning. Jefferson County's sheriff says that shortly after 2:30 am, they responded to an accident in the Lorman area.

20 year-old Marvin McCray was dead when they arrived. 19 year-old Victor Smith was transported to River Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg. Both are students at Alcorn, and the accident occurred on Highway 552, less than half-a-mile from the campus. Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
