JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A state department of revenue employee with political ambitions blasted officials today about those natural gas fumes.
James Broadwater of Byram says he reported the dangerous fumes to the media Tuesday after nothing was done to protect the safety of employees.
"They would not send employees home and it just didn't make sense" said Broadwater. "Nobody was going to do anything so I finally decided to contact the press and unfortunately it took people going to the hospital today before they would close down the place."
Broadwater filed his papers today with state GOP headquarters, to run for governor as a Republican.
