JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The accused leader of a burglary ring in Jackson is now behind bars.

That's according to Jackson police.

21-year-old John Peterson has been charged with three counts of auto theft, being a felon in possession of a concealed weapon and armed robbery of an individual.

Peterson is being held in the Hinds County Detention Center without bond.

Precinct 4 commander Wendell Watts said officers are also looking for at least four other people they believe worked with Peterson.

The commander also said Peterson is the primary suspect in dozens of burglaries dating back to late last year.
