Jackson Walmart evacuated for bomb threat

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Employees and shoppers at a Jackson retail store were evacuated early Monday morning.

According to Jackson Police spokeswoman, Colendula Green, an unsusal package was found inside the Wal-Mart store located off Highway 80 in Jackson.

The store was evacuated for precautionary reasons. Clinton Boulevard and Shaw Road were closed as authorities investigated.

Investigators began their investigation after Wal-mart employees claimed to see the package in the store.
