Annual Bottle Show held at TradeMart

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - One of a kind antiques and bottles could all be found under one roof Saturday afternoon.

The Annual Bottle Show was held at the Mississippi Trade Mart Saturday.

More than one-hundred vendors from as far away as Illinois and Massachusetts displayed their collectables. Jugs, fruit jars and bottles, some dating back to the 1600's , took center stage among other antiques. The show has grown to be the largest of its kind in the south.

"There's a whole lot of people who love bottles and we also have collectables and antiques and so probably half of the things are not bottles. It interests everybody and there's some wonderful bargains here," said show organizer, Alan Balliet.

This is the 26th year the Mississippi Antique Bottle Club has put on the event. More than 700 people were expected to attend.
