PEARL, Miss. (WLBT) - A small contractor contacted 3 On Your Side after becoming a victim of crime.
He's out of a job, his livelihood, and equipment after someone ripped him off on a job site in Pearl.
A vacant house being remodeled was burglarized not once but three times in the past week.
Two small contractors are out of $9,000 worth of tools.
"Air compressor, my nail guns, my claw hammer, my tapes, crowbars," Casey Pullen said.
The house is located near the busy intersection of Old Brandon Road and Pearson Road.
Right down from the Pearl Police Department.
Yet it was an easy target for thieves.
"Why didn't you take your stuff out of that house, if you knew it could be hit again after it was already hit once? Ok my stuff was locked up in a trailer with boxes on it. My compressor was welded to the trailer with chains on it and they stole that and broke in the man's house."
Casey Pullen called 3 On Your Side because he's in dire straights.
"I'm just out of luck. I just can't start another job because of what I do. That's my living and me and my wife are fixing to lose our home because of this. And we ain't got no tools to work with. I can't work."
The owner of the house said it is not covered by homeowners insurance.
He said the contractors should have taken their equipment home and not left it at the house.
Pearl Police say they have detectives working on this case.
Lt. Butch Townsend, Pearl Police Department, says investigators have repeatedly asked for serial numbers of the stolen equipment.
While Pullen says he has the much needed information, he has still not been able to produce it, according to police.
