"What is Baptist Cardiac Arrest Center"
This message brought to you by Dr. Eric Zoog, Baptist Emergency Services
Yesterday 1,000 Americans died from sudden cardiac death. Today, Baptist uses the most advanced technologies to change this statistic.
Baptist's Cardiac Arrest Center includes a team of board certified physician specialists working together, providing best-practice protocols to improve outcomes for cardiac arrest patients.
Our center was first to introduce therapeutic hypothermia in Mississippi. Previously, most cardiac arrest survivors had some degree of brain damage, many even trapped in a coma. This therapy triples the chance of surviving with normal brain function.
Our center has cardiologists on stand-by 24 hours a day. We even have a designated Chest Pain Observation Unit in our ER. And, we are equipped to receive emergency cardiac patients transported by both ground ambulance and EMS helicopters.
Baptist's Cardiac Arrest Center begins in the field. Your hands are their heart.
