
JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The Mississippi Parole Board has denied parole for a man convicted of killing a toddler and wounding his mother in 1985.
Authorities say, Anthony Jenkins stole a deer rifle, set up near a road and fired on the first vehicle that came within sight.
Jenkins was accused of shooting 4-year-old James Neal Freeman who died from his wounds.
Debi Freeman, the child's mother was shot in the face, but was able to recover.
Anthony Jenkins is serving a life sentence for the shootings.
