JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The winner of NBC's Biggest Loser spent Saturday in his hometown raising money for victimized children.
Patrick House, the Season 10 winner of NBC's weight loss competition and CNN's local hero Linda Fondren organizer of Shape Up Vicksburg served as judges for the Chili For Children cooking contest. The event will raise funds for the Warren County Children's Shelter which assists abused, neglected and homeless children.
"These kids really need our help and to be able to be here and have this great event, such a beautiful day and great weather. It's a great way to raise money and awareness for the children's shelter."
"It gets the spirit out in the community and the community begins to feel like we're helping this needy cause."
This year's goal is $3,000.
