RIDGELAND, Miss. (WLBT) - A man is hospitalized after a suicide attempt on the Natchez Trace.
Natchez Park Rangers and Ridgeland Police responded to the Choctaw Agency Rest Stop just before 5:00 Monday evening.
Park rangers said the black male suffered from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
He was discovered lying in the drivers seat of his red Chevy truck by 2 people who stopped at the park.
His name and condition are not known.
