JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A potent cold front will be moving into Mississippi today bringing the possibility for severe weather. Winds could gust up to 60-80 miles per hour as this system races through the state. Winds of this force can cause significant damage! Strong tornadoes will be possible with this storm system so please have your weather radio on!
A squall line will set up along the Mississippi River and march east. The squall line should affect west Mississippi from 11am-3pm and east Mississippi from 3pm-6pm.
If you must drive today, please be aware with gusty winds, high profile vehicles could experience difficulty.
