JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Engineers are now working with utility companies to move power off the Fortification street roadway.
It's one of the first signs of progress in a $15 million dollar resurfacing project, already delayed 3 years.
City officials say obtaining right of way caused delays. Once finished Fortification street will become a two lane boulevard.
Bidding on the project could now start this spring according to engineers.
