Violence between neighbors continues for one Jackson resident

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - More accusations of violence involving the home where police say a pit bull escaped and mauled a 9-year-old boy.

Around 5 p.m. Sunday Jackson police were investigating an alleged knife attack at 309 Judy Street. Forty-two-year-old Henry L. Bennett told officers that a man who came from 319 Judy Street pulled a knife on him.

Bennett says the man came from the same house where police arrested pit bull owner Lesean Pickett on January 19th. He says that before the attack the man questioned him about filing disturbing the peace charges against his mother Sabrina Pickett.

"I turn around a look and he's got an 11 inch butcher knife standing out there in my car port saying 'Sir I will kill you.' and I picked up a bucket, a five gallon bucket full of water, threw it on him, hit his hand and knocked the knife out of his hand," Bennett said.

According to Bennett officers told him the knife wielder's name was Antonio Woodward. Bennett says people at 319 Judy Street have previously threatened to kill him and burn down his home.

No one at that home would comment.
