JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - There are few new details regarding exactly what happened inside the apartment where a 3-month-old was found dead and an 18-year-old woman unconscious.

Jackson Police responded to Audubon Grove Apartments in West Jackson around 11:00 Monday night. That's at 3175 Robinson Road.

The 2 were found by the woman's boyfriend.

The unidentified woman is being treated at a local hospital, according to JPD spokeswoman Officer Conlendula Green."

"Both found on the floor unresponsive by officers and they both were transported to UMMC," Officer Green said.

The unidentified mother was being treated for injuries and illness she sustained and the 3 month old child is dead.

We are told told the woman has a history of diabetes, which may have been a contributing factor.

An autopsy will be performed to determine what caused the baby's death.
