School bus wreck kills three, injures at least 10

CALHOUN CITY, MS (WLBT) - Three adults are dead and as many at ten students have been injured in an accident involving an 18-wheeler and a school bus.

The semi hit the bus head on on Highway 9, near Calhoun City, in north Mississippi.

Ten students have been taken to hospitals in Tupelo and Grenada with what are believed to be non life threatening injuries.

The students are from the Choctaw County school district, and were returning to Ackerman High School from Ole Miss.

The Calhoun County Coroner says a teacher, the bus driver and the truck driver were killed in the accident.
