JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - AARP and Walgreens are teaming up and traveling the country to offer free health screenings.
Sunday the Wellness Tour and its big red bus made a stop at the Walgreens on Northbrook Drive in Jackson.
Anyone 18 and older could undergo six health tests.
Those screenings include bone density, cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, waist circumference and body mass analysis.
The free screenings are valued at more than $140.00 and take about 25 minutes.
Adults who receive the screenings will also get a free one year AARP membership.
"These are preventable health screenings, and we know that many diseases may be detected long before symptoms are present which is why early detection is the key to staying healthy," said Martha Banda, a certified health screener with the AARP Walgreens Wellness Tour.
Monday the bus will be located at Walgreens at 6308 Ridgewood Road from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
