Valentine's Day has floral shops bustling

Posted: Updated:

HATTIESBURG, MS (WLBT) - With Valentine's Day right around the corner, it's becoming a very busy time for folks in the floral business.

Some local florists are bringing in extra help and working extra hours to fill orders for roses, other types of flower arrangements, and gifts.

Valentine's Day is Monday and the folks at Bellevue Florist in Hattiesburg say they expect to be busy through the holiday.

Owner Thelma Lott says roses are by far, the most popular flowers for Valentines Day, but she says tropicals and lillies are also favorites this time of year.
