JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Drivers traveling on Pimlico Place in north Jackson were in for a bumpy ride.

"You have to drive two miles an hour to keep from wrecking your car," said Nancy Cleveland who lives on Pimlico Place.

Persisting potholes were the problem from small cracks to gaping holes.  Not only are they unsightly, residents called them dangerous.  Two years ago Mabel Lyons was crossing the street with her walker when she toppled into one.

"Fell in the street and broke my teeth so I had to go to the hospital and everything," said Lyons.

Jason Hulsman claimed he placed numerous calls over the last four years to the city of Jackson to get the street repaved.  Friday city crews came through patching some of the rough spots, but left most of the street untouched.  That's when he called 3 On Your Side.

"They've left 400 yards of street back there and we're sick of it," said Hulsman.

WLBT called the City of Jackson, and within an hour a road crew was back on Pimlico Place.  According to city spokesperson Chris Mims, crews were already planning to return to the street after running out of materials Friday.  He acknowledges the street needs to be resurfaced and says the city is currently compiling a resurfacing list for this year and next.
