JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson police captured a man just 30 minutes after he robbed a bank this afternoon.
It happened at Trustmark Bank at 1351 Northside Drive.
Police say just before one this afternoon, a man walked into the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money.
The robber ran from the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police used witness descriptions and tracked a suspect to the Books-A-Million store on the I-55 Frontage Road. Within minutes they had their man in custody.
He is identified as 44-year-old Christopher Watson.
Officers also recovered the stolen cash.
Police say Watson already served four years in prison for a previous bank robbery in Vicksburg.
