Pedestrian hit and killed on Manslick Road

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An elderly woman has died after being hit by a car while crossing the 3700 block of Manslick Road.

MetroSafe Dispatch says the call was received at 2:10 p.m. by 911 operators. A witness says bystanders rushed to aid the woman after she was hit.

Officer Carey Klain, a Louisville Metro Police spokesperson, says the 70-year-old woman was taken to University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as Geraldine Bruder.

The Louisville Metro Police traffic unit was investigating the accident, but no charges were expected against the driver.
