JACKSON, MS (WLBT) – A Ridgeland man was seriously injured after Jackson police said he jumped from a moving taxi.
That cab was traveling on Woodrow Wilson near I-55.
J.P.D. Officer Colendula Green said the 23 year old was struck by an oncoming car around five o'clock Saturday morning.
Witnesses told police that the man appeared to have been drinking.
They said several vehicles drove around him before he was finally hit.
The Madison county man suffered a broken leg, pelvis and arms.
Investigators said he was not responsive when transported to University Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
