JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - If you were looking for a job or wanted to enhance your education, the Jackson Medical Mall was the place to find possible solutions.
Thursday marked the Jackson Medical Mall Foundation's annual "Fresh Start Career and College Fair." The event is a combination of the best of both worlds for students and job seekers.
More than sixty vendors set up to discuss career and academic related opportunities. This year's fair focuses strongly on high school dropout prevention.
Students participated in a "Dress For Success Fashion Show." The goal was to show young adults how to dress properly for interviews and the career world.
"This is an opportunity to give students the skills, the tools and the resources they need to make sure that they make it across that stage get their high school diploma and get a job as well as for those folks who are already out of high school helps them get a job as well," says Zakiya Summers, the Internal Relations Coordinator for the Jackson Medical Mall.
The fair was free and open to the public.
