USM ranked in 20 most popular schools in U.S.

HATTIESBURG, MS - The University of Southern Mississippi finds itself in the company of Harvard, Princeton, Yale and others.

Southern Miss was named in the top 20 of the Most Popular Schools in the United States by U.S. News and World Report.

The list is one of a series of education lists compiled annually by the publication. The rankings are specific to national universities, which are research-oriented institutions and offer degrees of all levels.

No other Mississippi schools were included in the top 20 list.
