JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The Hinds County Board of Supervisors will hold a special board meeting Monday.  The purpose is to discuss and view options of proposed redistricting plans.  The public is invited to attend and your input is encouraged.

Proposed maps will be available for public viewing at a number of locations beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the board of supervisors' office in the chancery court building, the circuit clerk's office in Jackson, and the Raymond courthouse.  The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday.  It will be held in the board room of the chancery court building located at 316 South President street in downtown Jackson.

This follows last Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting where many were upset because there was little notification of the hearing and no maps for guidance.
