Annual Friendship Ball held at Hal and Mal's

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The annual Friendship Ball brings together folks from across Jackson to benefit two charitable organizations.

Dozens danced to live music and enjoyed great food at Hal and Mal's Restaurant in downtown Jackson Saturday night.

The annual event is a project of Jackson 2000 to work towards racial reconciliation.

The money raised will go to benefit parents for public schools and Operation Shoestring which provides programs to children and families in need.
