PORT GIBSON, MS (WLBT) - The Port Gibson Police Department is waiting for autopsy results before filing any charges in Patricia Dotson's death.

Her body was found behind the First Baptist Church on Farmer Street early Sunday morning.

Dotson suffered blunt force trauma to the head, and eyewitnesses say she as nude when her body was found.

Police are holding a person of interest, but no charges have been filed.

Relatives of Patricia Dotson gathered at the crime scene Monday.

Her father, Roosevelt, says the person being held is her boyfriend Dexter.

Other relatives of Dotson say Dexter is the brother of Assistant Police Chief Terry Watson.

Dotson's father Roosevelt says, "What took place I really don't know, I know that she was planning on moving back to Oklahoma."

Dotson's Aunt Debra Finley witnessed the unthinkable Monday morning.

"I went to the police station and saw officers going through the trash can.  They were pulling evidence out of the trash can that was in evidence bags it was sealed.  I saw a brick, a bottle of alcohol in the same bag appeared to be a bloody substance."

Finley says she asked the officers who put the evidence in the trash.  Finley says the officers answered, "They implied probably the cleaning person."

Port Gibson Police Chief Calvin Jackson was unavailable to respond to those allegations.

No word on when the autopsy results will be available.
