Cold Front brings strong thunderstorms

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Strong thunderstorms and flash flooding will be possible overnight as a cold front enters the state. Slow moving storms could cause heavy rain to fall in a short period of time.

An unstable airmass along with strong wind shear will support heavy rain and severe weather including isolated tornadoes, hail and damaging winds.

The risk for severe weather will end as the system pushes east after 8am Wednesday.

By Wednesday afternoon, the sun will break through the clouds and temperatures should reach near 70°.

Drier weather is in store for the rest of the week.
