JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The body of David Cupps, the man carjacked and kidnapped Monday from Vicksburg, has been found dead in Bessemer, Alabama. The body was found Wednesday behind a Comfort Inn.

The Louisiana Escapees who abducted him are still on the run, and the subject of a massive manhunt in Jackson, Tennessee.

Thirty-six-year-old Ricky Wedgeworth and 33-year-old Darian "Drake" Pierce escaped Friday at approximately 2:00 PM from the Louisiana State Police Headquarters Compound where they were on work detail.

Cupps was last seen in Vicksburg Monday afternoon, and Pierce and Wedgeworth were driving his rental car when they were pulled over Tuesday evening in Tennessee.
