JACKSON, MS (WLBT) -  Parents looking for ways to keep their kids busy this summer might want to take a trip to the Jackson Medical Mall. The Jackson Promise Coalition is hosting the first ever Summer Camp Fair.

Representatives from a number of organizations will be on hand to talk to parents about summer camp opportunities for children. The fair runs from 2:30pm and wraps up at 6:30pm Wednesday. Older kids and teens can also learn about volunteer and job opportunities.

"This is an opportunity for parents who have children of all ages from kindergarten all the way through high school and even some college opportunities," said Shawna Davie, the local dropout prevention coordinator for the United Way. "So we encourage parents to come out to the Jackson Medical Mall today."

If you can't make it to the fair, you can receive a summer camps and activities guide in an April edition of the Jackson Free Press newspaper.
