Mother surprised at Walmart by shoplifting son

NATCHEZ, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

NATCHEZ, MS (WLBT ) - Two men forced opened the exit doors at the Walmart on Sergeant Prentiss Drive in Natchez Wednesday night.

According to Natchez police, the men pushed the carts to the end of the parking lot where they began putting the items into an SUV. 

The driver of the vehicle realized what was happening and drove off, at least 500 yards and the men took off down the road with the shopping carts. 

But the driver realized she had left her children at the store and went back. 

The two men caught back up with her and started throwing things in the back of her SUV again.  

Well, it turns out the lady is the mother of one of them. But she didn't know this particular son was there.  

22-year-old Xavier Marvel and 20-year-old Frank Walker, III were arrested and charged with felony shoplifting 

Marvel and Walker remain in jail without bond and are awaiting arraignment. 

Police also arrested Amos Grinnell. 

Officers recovered over $1,000 dollars in merchandise.
