JACKSON, MS (WLBT) – A second child has died as a result of Saturday's rollover on I-220.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart said two year old Kendria Wells of Brandon died just after 11 p.m. Saturday night at University Medical Center.

She was in critical condition after suffering blunt head trauma.

The crash occurred around 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the northbound lane of I-220, north of Highway 80.

Jackson police found eight month old Trinity Wells lying in the northbound of traffic when they responded to the reports of an overturned vehicle.

Trinity was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said 30-year-old Tanji Wells was driving a 2001 Chevy Suburban with 10 children inside when a tire blew out.

The vehicle flipped several times before landing in the median.

They were in route to a church function.

Ten children ranging in age from less than a year to 13 were in the van.

Most involved in the crash remain hospitalized.

Their conditions are not known.
