MADISON, MS (WLBT) - Judge Dale Danks has ordered Stuart Irby held under house arrest and he must wear a monitoring device. Those measures were put in place because Irby violated the terms of his $50,000 bond.
Irby surrendered himself to Madison Police on March 3rd, and was charged with Cyberstalking. He was freed on $50,000 bond.
Madison City Prosecutor Trae Simms says Irby violated the terms of his bond on that same day when two hours after posting bond, he emailed the victim he was accused of cyberstalking. One of the terms of this bond was that he have no contact with the victim.
Simms says Irby also violated terms of this bond by drinking alcohol. He was arrested for DUI Sunday evening in Ridgeland. His blood alcohol contest was above the legal limit.
Judge Danks also told Irby he's not allowed to drive.
Irby will be monitored by the city of Madison Court Watch Program. Judge Danks says there will be serious consequences if he violates the terms of his bond again.
