Madison Co. authorities search for gunman

MADISON COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Madison County authorities are searching for a gunman.

Shots rang out around 10:45 Thursday night at The Canton Garden Apartments on Martin Luther King Drive.

According to Sheriff Toby Trowbrige, when deputies arrived in the parking lot they found 27-year-old Jonathan M. Tillis of Canton dead in the front seat of a car. He had been shot twice.

Sheriff Trowbridge says there are no suspects at this time but investigators are interviewing people in the area.
