A motorcyclist was killed after hitting a guard rail near downtown Jackson.
It happened around 3:30 Saturday afternoon at the High Street on ramp to I-55 south bound.
When WLBT arrived on scene a black and red motorcycle was in a grassy area off the on ramp.
Jackson Police, Jackson Fire and AMR officials responded to the fatal wreck.
"He lost control of his motorcycle , hit the guard rail. He was transported to UMC, but I'm told he died," said JPD Officer Colendula Green.
She says the victim is 33-year-old Wade Wilson of Greenwood.
