Gov. Barbour states importance of electing a new President

Governor Haley Barbour says it's critical that Americans elect a new president next year.

Governor Barbour was one of four potential Republican Presidential candidates to speak early Saturday at the conservative principles conference in Des Moines, Iowa. He says President Obama's economic policies are wrong for America.

"The policies of this administration in every case have made it harder to create jobs and make it harder to create economic growth. The President, from the beginning, has been calling for the largest tax increase in American history, Gov. Barbour said.

Governor Barbour rejected suggestions that President Obama has moved to the middle after Democrats suffered a massive defeat in the midterm elections last year.
