The storms have passed over and today is just dealing with the leftover clouds and scattered light rain in the area.
Storm damage was reported throughout the state, with structural damage in Copiah, Simpson and Hinds County. Clean up efforts will primarily be dealing with clearing limbs and debris from the roads.
Today's weather is much calmer, tonight temps will drop to the chill of the mid 40s. And the road to the weekend is paved with brilliant sunshine for the rest of the week.
The best possible shot of rain holds off until next Tuesday.
