Dozens of State Legislators capped off the last twelve weeks they have spent getting fit Wednesday night.
The "Fit 4 Change" challenge is in its second year.
More than 200 lawmakers, state workers and Jackson residents participated in the program.
Coach Paul Lacoste led the participants in workouts at the Walter Payton Fitness Center on the campus of Jackson State University four days a week.
State Representative John Hines, a Democrat, says the program offers discipline and the chance to change your lifestyle.
Last year, Hines lost 74 pounds and this year another 31 pounds.
"We got big egos and the good thing about big egos is you have to put your money where your mouth is. In this process, you just can't talk the walk. You have to walk the walk," said Representative Hines.
Wednesday night, those involved finished up the program with a 5K run.
Then, awards were given out to those who lost the most weight.
