Warnock Claims Auditor's Report Clears Him of Any Wrongdoing - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
Madison County Engineer Rudy Warnock welcomed an audit of his engineering firm by the State Auditor in 2010. Thursday, he said he has been cleared of wrongdoing thanks to that audit.
An independent audit was done on Warnock's firm by a group of local residents in 2010.
Afterwards, Madison's mayor wanted to take a closer look at fees he charged her city.
That audit was performed by engineer, Richard McAfee, of Florida.
In his report, McAfee claimed to have found multiple counts of excessive charges to the city of Madison and questionable payments to the Warnock and associates engineering firm.
In a press release Thursday, Warnock says the auditor's findings proved, once and for all, he is innocent of any and all allegations made by the Mayor and Supervisor D.I. Smith.
