JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Mississippi Charity Horse show wrapped up Saturday night at the Kirk Fordice Equine Center in Jackson.

The show returns every year in April. It dates back to the 1930s. Some of the best Tennessee walking horses from around the world are matched and more than 75 classes make up the Mississippi Charity Horse Show. The benefits from each annual show go to a local charity. This year Blair E. Batson is the beneficiary.

"If you go to the hospital it becomes very very important. The kids are just wonderful. Their families are just wonderful. We served about 100 meals to families, children and their parents. Robert Taylor, President of MS Horse Show.

The money raised from this show helps provide care, staff training for treatments and cures, lifesaving equipment, medicine, and more for the children at Blair e. Batson.
