JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - After an active afternoon, the severe weather has moved out of the state. Temperatures have dropped almost 25° from yesterday as the cold front has brought much cooler air to the area.
The National Weather Service will conduct damage assessments and surveys Tuesday to determine which areas experienced tornado touchdowns or straight line winds. We'll have those reports on WLBT's newscasts as we get them.
Drier weather is expected for the rest of the week as high pressure takes over. Temperatures will slowly begin to climb into the 70s and 80s by the end of the week.
