Miss. pastor charged with child pornography

HERNANDO, Miss. (AP) - The longtime pastor of a Hernando church has been charged with child pornography.

According to Hernando Police Chief Mike Riley, 63-year-old Eddie Prince was arrested Friday.

Riley says Prince is to appear in DeSoto County criminal court on Wednesday. His bail was set at $60,000.

The newspaper reports Monday that it could not be determined Sunday whether he posted bond.

Prince is the pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Riley would not comment on the case except to say that some evidence was seized and the case remains under investigation.

It was not clear whether Prince had an attorney.
