FRANKLIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

After more than a day of searching, a second drowning victim has been recovered in Franklin County.

Franklin County Coroner Percy Peeler said a man and a child drowned Saturday afternoon in Okhissa Lake near Bude.

The body of Bobby O'Quinn, 18, was discovered by divers around 10:30 Monday morning.

Monday's discovery came after divers searched the water from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday looking for one of the victims.

O'Quinn was a freshman defensive lineman for Copiah-Lincoln Community College and a graduate of Franklin County High School.

Authorities believe O'Quinn drowned while trying to save two children.

Sheriff James Newman says O'Quinn tried to rescue Audrionna Lofton, 7, and her sister from a deep area of the lake.

Her twin survived, but Audrionna Lofton drowned.

She was a student at North Jackson Elementary School.
