Man in stable condition after motorcycle wreck

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police are investigating a serious motorcycle wreck . It happened on Interstate 20 near the Gallatin Street exit Wednesday morning.

According to police, a 30 year old male, Travis Riley was riding on his motorcycle traveling west in the right lane coming onto the I-20 overpass, when his bike possibly lost control.

Police say the accident may have been a single vehicle crash and they're not looking for anyone in a possible hit and run.

We are told, when Riley crashed, the motorcycle slid and Riley's head slammed on the guardrail so hard, his helmet came off.

Riley was transported to a local hospital. Police say Riley is in stable condition.
