A frightening scene on the Pearl River Thursday when an unmanned motorboat spun out of control.
A WLBT viewer shot video of the boat on her cell phone near Tommy's Trading Post.
She says the boater hit something in the water, and he fell out of the boat. He managed to swim to shore, but the boat kept going -- spinning around as the current carried it downriver.
The boat even went under the Highway 43 bridge, spinning as it did, but miraculously it did not hit any of the bridge pilings.
Eventually, the boat ran out of fuel and stopped spinning. No one was hurt.
