Slain Marine To Arrive in Mississippi Thursday

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Brandon native and Marine killed in Afghanistan will return to the Magnolia State Thursday.

The remains of Staff Sergeant Jason Rogers will arrive at Thompson Air Field at 2 PM.

Marines from Company C, Anti-Terrorism BN, 4th Marine Division in Jackson will provide a honor guard for plane side honors.

A processional to Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon will follow.

Visitation will be held at Pinelake Baptist Church in Brandon, Friday night from 6 to 9.

His funeral service will also be held at the church at 3 PM Saturday with interment at the New Brandon Cemetery.
