Port Gibson man sentenced for oil spill fraud

PORT GIBSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Port Gibson man was sentenced to prison for oil spill fraud Thursday.

39 year old Dennis Moore was ordered to serve 13 months in federal prison.

He pleaded guilty to mail fraud resulting from a scheme to defraud BP of 90 thousand dollars by falsely claiming monetary losses to a fictitious business.
