JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Mayor Harvey Johnson was flanked by several city officials during a press conference at emergency management headquarters Friday afternoon.

"We have crews out working to clear those streets.  We're asking our citizens as they're on their way home as well as just going through the city to proceed with caution, with care.  We have lights that are out at some intersections.  Please pay close attention, close attention to portable 4-way stop signs there.  Be courteous and we'll get through this," said City of Jackson Mayor Harvey Johnson.

Roll off dumpsters will be available at Tougaloo Park, Manhattan Park, Grove Park and Lake Hico Park.  City of Jackson officials said they will begin assessing damage tomorrow.

To report damage in your area call 311 or the Mayor's Action Line at (601) 982-4881.

Hinds County officials are also asking residents to report damage to (601)960-1476.
