Jackson police are investigating the Saturday afternoon shooting of a teenager.
Jackson Police Officer Colendula Green said a 14 year old male suffered a single gunshot wound at a residence in the 4,000 block of Azalea Drive.
Police receive to the call around 3:55 p.m.
According to investigators, two brothers were sitting outside when they reported hearing a gunshot.
Then they said their brother walked out of the house holding his mouth.
The teenager was taken by private vehicle to University Medical Center.
Investigators said his injuries are not life threatening.
Three people were taken to police headquarters for questioning.
No arrests have been made.
No details were released about the weapon used in the shooting.
